http://caa.convio.net/site/Calendar/?view=RSVP&id=103321I Run 4 Cal: 5K is a charity run on the UC Berkeley campus to benefit campus departments, scholarships, programs, and student groups. Cal students and alumni will converge on Sather Gate on April 11th to show their support of Cal. Runners and spectators alike can enjoy the Expo on Sproul Plaza which will feature sponsor booths, food, a rock climbing wall, and live entertainment.
The suggested minimum sponsorship amount in order to participate is $15. Student runners are encouraged to seek sponsorships from their aunts, uncles, grandparents, and other older adults in their lives. The best part is that each runner gets to direct their sponsorship money to the on-campus program of their choice!
Entry Fee: Suggested $15 charitable donation
Entry Level: $1-$14
Sather Gate Level: $15-$49
Campanile Level: $50 or more
Where does my sponsorship money go? To any campus program (department, unit, scholarship, student group, etc) of your choice. Runners who raise between $1 and $14 will receive a silicone bracelet commemorating the 5K. Runners who are able to raise at least $15 will also receive a gift bag complete with an event T-shirt and gifts from some of our sponsors and campus sponsors. Those who raise $50 or more will also receive raffle tickets to win valuable prizes from our sponsors such as running shoes and gift cards.
Prizes will be awarded to the fastest individual male and female runner and best costume, among others. The student group that brings the most runners (Sather Gate Level and up) to the event will receive $250.

It is advised by Cal Alumni Association with support from University Relations.
