Is there a class/seminar type thing that I can attend to help me learn about avoiding plagiarism? (the unintentional kind, that is)

By this I mean. teaching students to know how/when to properly cite ideas, work, etc..? My hs teachers touched on this, but didn't care enough to make sure we knew it well enough for college.

Thanks!

There isn't a specific class on this, but most classes usually during their introductions to the class will describe their anti-plagiarism policy. You can ask your GSI (aka T.A.) more specifically about what this entails, but it gets pretty repetitive and simple after a while.

Basically anything you quote, cite, anything you paraphrase similar to a passage, cite.
